Room Selection 2008 

The last meeting for Room Selection 2008 was completed on May 1, in the Stamp Student Union.
Any eligible student who was authorized to participate in the process but did not select a space will have their housing contract canceled. If you did not select a space and still wish to be considered for on-campus housing for the 2008-2009 academic year, you will be placed on the waitlist in the 8th Commitment Group reserved for students that have missed posted housing deadlines. Reassignment Requests for Fall 2008
If you are not completely satisfied with the selection you made at Room Selection 2008, you may complete the online Fall Room Change Request form. This form allows you to let Resident Life know that you wish to be considered for spaces that open up due to summer cancellation activity. You can be as general (i.e. any apartment space on campus) or as specific (i.e. only want to be moved to 1102 A Harford Hall) as you want. We will continue to accept these forms until July 8, at that time we will begin to process the forms. Notifications of Reassignments will be made at the end of July.
If you complete this form, you are giving the Department of Resident Life permission to move you automatically if they can accommodate your request, so read over the form carefully and make sure you are comfortable with your requests.

First Waitlist Update on May 15
All students on our waitlist will be sent an email update by May 15 with our most up to date information regarding their status for securing Fall 2008 housing. Information will also be posted at www.resnet.umd.edu/housingavailability/waitlist.
Resident Life will be utilizing University information to obtain email addresses so if you're not sure that the current email address is accurate, please go to http://www.testudo.umd.edu/apps/saddr/ and update your information accordingly. No waitlist updates can be provided prior to May 15.
