If you are the parent of a child that has been referred to the Office of Rights and Responsibilities:
Confidentiality is a hallmark of our office. A student's disciplinary record must remain confidential unless the student gives express written authorization to have their records viewed by someone other than that student. This means that we cannot communicate in any way about the student's file without the students written consent.
We recommend that if you would like to know what charges your child is facing, and what potential sanctions might result, that you talk directly with the student and have them come into our office to fill out a release form.
Please understand that the policies and procedures that we follow in this office are not comparable to a courtroom, but they do adhere to the due process rights of our students.
