NORTH HILL COMMUNITY

The North Hill community is comprised of Anne Arundel Hall, Caroline Hall, Carroll Hall, Dorchester Hall, Queen Anne's Hall, St. Mary's Hall, Somerset Hall, Wicomico Hall, and Worcester Hall. The North Hill Community office is located at 0200 Calvert Hall and is open Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 am to 4:30pm.

The North Hill Community offers about 1,200 students a variety of housing options. These nine residence halls are centrally located conveniently close to McKeldin Library, the Stamp Student Union and many classroom buildings. The 24- hour North Hill Service Desk is located in Queen Anne’s Hall. Recreational and fitness facilities are in Ritchie Coliseum and Reckord Armory. A 24-hour Workstations at Maryland (WAM) lab is located in Worcester Hall.

Carroll, Caroline, Wicomico, and Worcester Halls include...

  • location conveniently close to Van Munching Hall and the Architecture Building;
  • co-educational, traditional, low rise housing; and
  • all top-floor rooms of Carroll, Caroline, and Wicomico Halls are singles
  • housing for Honors Humanities students in Wicomico Hall;
  • the Honors Humanities Office is located in Wicomico Hall
  • MD wireless access point located in one central lounge area of each hall

  • Language House located in St. Mary’s Hall;
  • a language lab, Language House office and 24-hour service desk located in the St. Mary’s basement;
  • CIVICUS program located in Somerset Hall; and
  • classroom, computer lab, and CIVICUS Program Offices located in the basement of Somerset Hall.
