By Metro
Take the Green Line to the College Park Metro station. From the station you may take a taxi at the taxi stand the 2 miles to campus (apx. $10). You can also use the free red and white UM Shuttle on the East side of the station at the Bus Depot. Shuttles leave approximately every 20 minutes Monday - Friday until 7pm. Shuttle schedules are available at the Department of Transportation Services web site.
By Train
Take Amtrak into Union Station. From Union Station get on the Red Line of the Metro toward Glenmont. Transfer at Fort Totten Station from the Red Line to the Green Line in the direction of Greenbelt. Get off the Metro at the College Park station and see the Metro instructions above for directions from the Metro station to campus.
By MARC Train
Take the Camden Line to the College Park – University of Maryland Station. Be advised that the train will not always stop at this station, check the schedule to see if you need to signal the conductor prior to approaching the station in order to exit the train. After exiting the train proceed through the pedestrian tunnel toward the East side Metro Entrance. From there follow the appropriate Metro Directions above to get to campus.
By Plane
From Reagan National Airport: Follow signs inside the airport for the Metro Station. Once at the metro station take the escalators that will lead to the Yellow Line in the direction of Mount Vernon Square/Downtown D.C. Get on the Yellow Line toward Mount Vernon Square/Fort Totten. Get off the Yellow Line at L'Enfant Plaza and switch to the Green Line in the direction of Greenbelt; this will be on the same platform that you got off on. Get off the Metro at the College Park Metro Station and see the Metro instructions above for directions from the Metro station to campus.
From Baltimore/Washington International Airport: You may take a taxi, rent a car, or use the Super Shuttle bus from BWI to the University. The Super Shuttle bus service can be reserved at their web site, this service costs about $25. You may also get to the university by taking Amtrak or the MARC to Union Station. A less costly mode is to take the Metro Express Shuttle Service (B30) to Greenbelt Metro Station and from there follow the Metro directions above.
By Car
From Baltimore and Points North of College Park: Take I-95 South. When the Capital Beltway (495) splits at exit 27, go towards Silver Spring (right lanes). Immediately exit on the left to Route 1 directly after the split. Merge onto 495 briefly and take the first exit (exit 25B) to Route 1 South/ Baltimore Ave toward College Park. Proceed on Route 1 for approximately 2 miles. Make a right just after the College Park Volunteer Fire Department Station onto Campus Drive. Take Campus Drive up to the traffic circle with the big "M" in the middle. Make the first right in the traffic circle. Proceed to the second stop sign and make a left (there should be a barn directly in front of you). Cambridge Hall will be on your right and the Cambridge Community Center is directly behind it. Park in Lot Q directly across the Hall on the other side of the street.
From Virginia via I-95 and Points South of College Park: Take I-95 North/ 495 to Baltimore. Take Exit 25 to Route 1. Make a left at the Traffic Light onto Route 1 South/Baltimore Ave toward College Park. Proceed approximately 2 miles south. Make a right just after the College Park Volunteer Fire Department Station onto Campus Drive. Take Campus Drive up to the traffic circle with the big "M" in the middle. Make the first right in the traffic circle. Proceed to the second stop sign and make a left (there should be a barn directly in front of you). Cambridge Hall will be on your right and the Cambridge Community Center is directly behind it. Park in Lot Q directly across the Hall on the other side of the street.
From Bowie, Annapolis, and Points East of College Park: Take Route 50 West to Exit 7B for 495 North toward Silver Spring. Get off at Exit 25 to Route 1. Make a left at the Traffic Light onto Route 1 South/Baltimore Ave toward College Park. Proceed on Route 1 for approximately 2 miles. From Frederick, Western Maryland: Take I-270 South toward Washington. At the 495 split, take 495 East (left lanes). Get off at Exit 25B, Route 1 South/ Baltimore Ave toward College Park.
