Fall 2012 Move-In
Dining at Maryland

Maryland's dining locations are open long hours throughout the day to satisfy your appetite when hunger strikes. Students eat most of their meals in the two main dining rooms: The Diner and South Campus Dining Room. In addition, cafés, convenience shops and quick food locations across campus are ready to satisfy most of your cravings. The newest dining hall, 251 North, an all-you-care-to- eat facility also provides an option for campus residents.

Dining at Maryland provides a variety of culinary selections. Each dining room features numerous and diverse stations and each campus eatery has its own unique point of view. Most purchases are à la carte, so you have the flexibility to choose exactly what you want to eat. We always offer vegetarian and vegan selections and our dietitian will work as closely with you as you choose in managing any food allergy, intolerance, or sensitivity.

Resident Dining Plans

Three dining plans are available for new-to-housing students. Plans consist of a pre-determined number of 251 North Meals, Resident Points and Terp Bucks—the specific number of Points/Bucks in your account depends upon which plan you select. You can change from one plan to another through the second week of each semester. Any dining plan can be upgraded by purchasing additional services for breakfast and/or for use in the Stamp Student Union Food Court.

Students may use Resident Points and Terp Bucks in select locations across campus. For a listing of locations and hours of operations, please visit the Department of Dining Services.

Dining plans for all resident students are effective at 4:00pm Sunday, August 26, 2012.
