Announcements

Residential Facilities will replace most of the bedroom furniture in Old Leonardtown during the summer of 2009. As a standard*, each resident will be provided with a raised, lofted or bunked bed, a standard size desk and a 3-drawer dresser.
*Note: Some rooms were previously set to the new standard and the furniture in those locations will not be replaced.
All beds will be elevated in one of the following ways. Residents who would object to any of these configurations should not select housing in Old Leonardtown. Residents will not be able to request changes to the bed height or furniture configuration.
- Both beds in a double bedroom bunked with desks and dressers along the walls.
- The bed in single bedrooms and in double bedrooms may be elevated on a 36-inch high mini-loft with a 3-drawer dresser beneath it
- The bed in single bedrooms and in double bedrooms may be elevated on a 5-foot high loft with both the dresser and desk beneath it.
We have worked hard to gather feedback from residents and to determine the best furniture layout for each bedroom given the small room sizes and varying room configurations. Although residents are permitted to move and arrange their own furniture, the bedrooms in Old Leonardtown are not large and options for rearranging furniture are very limited.
The following diagrams and photographs are intended to illustrate the three general configuration types you should expect to find in Old Leonardtown when you move in. Your room may not look exactly like any of these illustrations.
